Working primarily in oils with hints of acrylics. Merging two mediums together that have different bases. Oil and water. You know what they say about that...They don't mix. Which is true in theory, but they go together quite well. The majority of the painting was done in oils because blending is such a beautiful thing. It gives you the time you need to go back and adjust it as needed. Then when its dry (about 4 days), I add extreme highlights and colors with acrylics to create an added pop and thick texture. It gives it a bit more life. And in some cases gold leafing and glitter is called for to complete the piece.
